Born in Oakland, California, Y-vette-C was blessed to accept Christ as her personal savior at the tender age of five. After living outside of God's will and making unwise choices for a number of years, she gave Jesus control of her life. Singing has always been a part of her strong Christian upbringing. Adoring music as she did, rehearsals were a joyful existence for her. She was greatly encouraged by her church, loving parents, siblings, and late husband of 35 years, Hezekiah, and their children.

Y-vette-C has faced many challenges with her family. Although those times were traumatic, she met them with tremendous faith, love and devotion to God. In the midst of devastation, she has chosen to praise God through service and song. Yvette utilizes her musical talents at her church in Yuba City, California where she ministers faithfully on the praise team and as a featured soloist.

As an anointed soloist extraordinaire, she is a sought after artist in the Bay Area and nationwide. Her wide vocal range, versatile singing style, and love of people has earned her a following of those seeking to hear her share about the real peace that only the heavenly father offers through His son Jesus Christ. 

God's continuous blessings have increased Y-vette-C's desire to be in the center of His will with her music ministry. Thus she is spreading her wings as a composer, writing music that draws upon the adventures and experiences of her own life that reflect the love and promises of a caring God.
